Technical description: Electricity fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the electrical circuit within the boiler is broken, preventing power from reaching the internal components. The most common reason is a blown fuse on the main control board, often caused by a sudden power surge or a failing internal part like the pump short-circuiting. If the fuses are intact, it usually indicates that the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) itself has suffered a terminal electrical failure.
This issue is frequently seen following summer storms, where lightning strikes or local power grid fluctuations can cause electrical surges that blow the boiler's internal fuses.
DIY fix possible
Check if your home's main fuse box has a tripped circuit breakerEnsure the boiler's power switch is turned on and the fuse in the wall spur hasn't blownVerify that your prepaid gas or electric meter has credit
