Your boiler has detected that an external outdoor temperature sensor is not sending a clear signal correctly.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: All Boilers
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler loses communication with the sensor located on the outside of your property. The most common reasons are that the sensor has developed an internal electrical fault or the wiring connecting it to the boiler has been damaged by moisture or high winds.
This fault is more common during autumn and winter when extreme weather or heavy rain can compromise the external sensor's casing or wiring.
