Your boiler has lost communication with the sensor that monitors the outdoor temperature, which may cause your heating to behave unpredictably.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Outside sensor error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler can no longer detect a signal from the sensor located on the outside of your home. The most common reasons are a physical break in the low-voltage wiring connecting the sensor to the boiler, or moisture getting inside the sensor casing and damaging the delicate internal components.
This fault is more common following periods of heavy rain or severe storms, as wind-driven moisture can enter the sensor housing and cause a short circuit.

This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
