Technical description: No flame after 5 ignition attempts
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer tries to light the gas five times but cannot detect a sustained flame. The most common reasons include a lack of gas reaching the unit, a blocked drainage pipe, or dirty internal components that can no longer create a spark.
This fault is particularly common during freezing winter temperatures, as the external condensate pipe can freeze and back up, preventing the boiler from lighting.
