Your boiler is simply showing you that it is currently busy heating up the water for your taps or shower.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: SANITARY DEMAND
What causes this fault?
This code appears when the boiler detects that a hot water tap or shower has been turned on somewhere in your home. It isn't a fault, but rather a status message confirming that the internal flow sensor has triggered and the boiler is now prioritising heating your water. Once you turn the tap off, the code should disappear as the boiler returns to its normal standby or heating mode.
DIY fix possible
Check that your hot water taps are fully closed.Monitor the display to see if the 'P' disappears once you stop using hot water. If the 'P' remains on while no taps are running, contact a professional to check for a leaking pipe or a stuck internal valve.
