Your boiler is temporarily paused because it is waiting for a stable reading from the internal water pressure sensor.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Waiting period – pressure sensor
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board detects an inconsistent or fluctuating signal from the internal water pressure sensor. It physically pauses operation to ensure there is enough water in the system to run safely, rather than risking damage by firing up with incorrect readings. The most common reason is a sensor that is becoming blocked with debris or is starting to fail electronically.
DIY fix possible
Check the digital display or pressure gauge to see if the water pressure is between 1.0 and 1.5 bar.If the pressure is too low, use the external filling loop to top up the system water.Restart the boiler to see if the status code clears once the pressure is stabilised.
