What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer detects a failure in the sequence required to keep the burner running safely. The most common reason is that the boiler has failed to spark correctly or the gas valve isn't releasing fuel as expected, forcing the system to shut down to prevent unburnt gas from building up. It can also be triggered by a faulty control board that is no longer communicating correctly with the safety sensors.
DIY fix possible
