Your boiler has detected an internal electrical or operational fault that is preventing it from firing up normally.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Other Errors
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer detects a logic error or a failure in the sequence of start-up checks, such as the fan not running at the correct speed or a signal mismatch from the air pressure switch. The most common reason is an aging circuit board that can no longer process signals correctly, or a mechanical failure in the components that move air through the system. Essentially, the boiler has safety-checked itself and found an electrical discrepancy that prevents it from ignition.
This fault is slightly more common in winter as the fan and electrical components are under higher stress due to the boiler running for longer periods to meet heating demands.
DIY fix possible
Locate the control knob on the front of the boilerTurn the knob to the 'O' (Reset) position for 5 to 10 secondsTurn the knob back to your desired temperature setting to see if the boiler restarts
