What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler has tried to light several times but has failed to detect a flame, causing the system to shut down for safety. The most common reasons include a lack of gas reaching the burner, a worn-out ignition spark, or a sensor failing to tell the control board that the flame is actually lit.
This issue can be more frequent during the first cold snap of autumn when internal components that have been idle over summer suddenly fail under the strain of constant operation.
DIY fix possible
Locate the reset button or dial on the front control panel.Press the reset button or turn the control knob to 'Reset' and then back to your desired setting.Wait up to 2 minutes to see if the burner light (LED 2) comes back on.
