Technical description: Fault with mains supply or PCB fuse
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the electrical circuit within the boiler is broken, meaning the control board cannot receive any power to start the ignition process. The most common reason is a simple blown fuse caused by a power surge, though it can also stem from a component failure that has short-circuited the main printed circuit board.
DIY fix possible
Check that the boiler's electrical isolation switch is turned on.Check your home's main fuse box to see if a circuit breaker has tripped.Replace the fuse in the boiler's external spur switch with a 3-amp fuse.
