Your boiler is currently cooling itself down after finishing a heating or hot water cycle, which is a normal operating state rather than a permanent failure.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: pump / fan overrun
What causes this fault?
This occurs because the boiler needs to dissipate residual heat from the internal heat exchanger after it has finished heating your home or water. The pump and fan continue to run for a few minutes to ensure the unit cools down safely and prevents internal components from overheating. It is a protective measure rather than a breakdown.
DIY fix possible
Wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes for the internal pump and fan to finish their cooling cycle.Check that your room thermostat is turned down or satisfied. If the code does not disappear after 15 minutes, try resetting the boiler once.
