Your boiler is working correctly and is simply sitting in standby mode because your thermostat or hot water timer is currently turned off.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Standby (no demand for heat)
What causes this fault?
This status appears when the boiler is powered on and ready to work but hasn't received a signal to start heating. It usually happens because your room thermostat has reached the desired temperature or your hot water timer is set to an 'off' period. The boiler is essentially waiting for you to turn up the heat or for a scheduled timer to kick in.
This code is more frequently seen during the summer months when the central heating is switched off and the boiler only fires occasionally for hot water.
DIY fix possible
Check that your room thermostat is turned up higher than the current room temperatureEnsure your heating programmer or timer is set to an 'ON' periodCheck that the boiler's main control knob is not set to the 'Off' or 'Standby' position
