Your boiler is currently trying to light the flame and this light will turn off as soon as the burner is successfully lit.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Flashes to indicate ignition operation (stops after detection)
What causes this fault?
This light activates during the ignition sequence as the boiler attempts to create a flame. It indicates that the internal controls are sending power to the spark generator and opening the gas valve to start the heating process. If this light stays on for a long time without the boiler firing up, it usually means the fuel is not reaching the burner or the spark is too weak to ignite it.
DIY fix possible
Observe the light for a few seconds to see if it stops flashing once the boiler starts runningCheck that your gas supply is turned on at the meterEnsure your thermostat is calling for heat
