Your boiler has stopped heating up because the water is not being pushed through the pipes as it should be.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Pump fault detected by diagnostic feature.
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the pump responsible for moving hot water from the boiler to your radiators or hot water tank has stopped spinning or is struggling to maintain the correct speed. The most common reason is that the pump has seized due to a build-up of debris in the system or the electrical components within the motor have reached the end of their lifespan.
This fault is frequently seen at the start of autumn when systems are turned on for the first time after summer, as the pump internal parts can seize if they remain stationary for several months.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
