Technical description: GO TO FRAME 75
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler attempts to start up but cannot establish or detect a stable flame. The most common reasons include a temporary interruption in the gas supply, a worn-out ignition spark probe, or a blockage within the internal burner components.
This issue is more frequent during extreme cold snaps, as external gas meters or pipes can occasionally 'freeze' or suffer from pressure drops in the local network.
DIY fix possible
Check that your gas prepayment meter has credit (if applicable).Check that other gas appliances, like a hob, are working to confirm gas is reaching the property.Restart the boiler by pressing the reset button for five seconds.
