Technical description: Overcurrent Protection Error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the heat pump's electrical components draw more power than they are safely designed to handle. It is usually triggered by a mechanical blockage in the fan or compressor, or a failure in the electrical board that regulates power flow. To prevent a fire or permanent motor damage, the system shuts itself down immediately.
This error is slightly more common during extreme summer or winter peaks when the compressor is working at its maximum capacity for extended periods.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
