FLOW TEMPERATURE SETPOINT CANNOT BE INCREASED TO 80ºC Low Warning

Your boiler's maximum temperature setting has been restricted in the hidden installer menu, preventing it from reaching its full heating potential.

Monitor it

This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.

Technical description: Ensure Flow Temp is not limited within Installer Mode (see Section 2.28)

What causes this fault?

This issue occurs because the boiler's internal software has been programmed to cap the heat output at a lower level than its maximum capability. It is usually caused by an installer intentionally limiting the temperature to improve efficiency or because the current configuration settings in the hidden service menu are overriding your manual adjustments.

This is often noticed during the first cold snap of winter, as homeowners try to increase their radiator temperature to combat the freezing weather only to find the setting is locked.

Typical repair cost £80-120 (including labour)
