Your boiler has stopped working because the internal fan, which safely clears exhaust fumes, is not running correctly.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Issues with fan wiring, supply voltage (230Vac), or fan failure.
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board detects that the fan isn't spinning at the correct speed to safely expel exhaust gases. The most common reason is the fan motor seizing up due to wear and tear, though it can also be caused by loose electrical connections or a failing control board that is no longer sending power to the fan.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
