Your boiler is having trouble measuring the temperature of your hot water, which usually means it cannot heat water for your taps correctly.
This fault should be looked at by a Gas Safe engineer within the next week or two. It may get worse if left.
Technical description: Faulty DHW temperature probe NTC
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the internal sensor responsible for monitoring your tap water temperature fails or provides an 'out of range' reading. The most common reason is that the sensor has physically degraded over time or developed a small leak around its seal, causing the electrical connection to fail. Because the boiler no longer knows how hot the water is, it stays in a safety mode to prevent you from getting scalded.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
