Your boiler is currently in standby mode and is receiving power normally, but it is not currently receiving a command to provide heating or hot water.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Appliance operation light - Flashing every 4 seconds indicates boiler is off or power is present
What causes this fault?
This status occurs when the boiler has power but is not being told to turn on by your external controls. The most common reason is that your room thermostat is set too low or your programmer is currently in an 'off' period. It can also happen if the batteries in your wireless thermostat have run out, preventing the signal from reaching the boiler.
DIY fix possible
Check that your room thermostat is turned up higher than the current room temperature.Ensure the heating programmer or timer is set to 'ON'.Check that the boiler mode dial is set to both heating and hot water icons.
