Your boiler is currently working at its maximum set power to heat your radiators as quickly as possible.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Boiler status - Burner operating at maximum CH power setting (See parameter 3)
What causes this fault?
Code 2 is not actually a fault, but an indication that your boiler is working at its highest heating capacity. This occurs when you first turn your heating on and the system needs to work hard to reach the temperature set on your thermostat. Once your home begins to warm up, the boiler will automatically reduce its power level.
This status is most frequently seen during the autumn and winter months when the heating is first switched on after a long period of inactivity.
DIY fix possible
Check if your thermostat is set to a very high temperatureWait for the house to reach the desired temperature, at which point the code should disappearNo action is required as this is an operational status code, not a mechanical fault
