Your boiler is currently heating up its internal water reserve so that hot water is available instantly when you turn on a tap.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Pre-Heat operating
What causes this fault?
This code appears when the boiler's 'Comfort' mode is active and the internal heat exchanger needs to reach its target temperature. It is triggered by the boiler's internal sensors detecting that the stored water has cooled down below a certain point. This ensures that when you open a hot tap, the water is already pre-heated and ready to flow immediately.
This code may appear more frequently during winter months as the boiler’s internal water cools down faster due to lower ambient temperatures.
DIY fix possible
No action is required as this is a normal operating mode.If you wish to stop this, you can turn off the 'Eco' or 'Pre-heat' function on the boiler control panel.Check that your hot water taps are fully closed.
