L Low Information

Your boiler is currently running at its lowest setting to prevent it from shutting down completely while it tries to manage your heating demand.

Monitor it

This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.

Technical description: Burner operating at minimum power

What causes this fault?

This occurs when the boiler detects that it cannot safely increase its power level while still meeting your heating or hot water needs. It is often caused by a lack of proper water flow through the system or a sensor that is sending slightly inaccurate temperature readings to the main control board. Instead of shutting down entirely, the boiler limits itself to a low flame to prevent overheating.

This status is more common during the summer months when the boiler is only heating a small amount of water for taps rather than the whole radiator system.

Typical repair cost £0-120 (including labour)

DIY fix possible

Check that all radiator valves are fully open to allow heat to circulate.Ensure the room thermostat is set high enough to call for heat.Restart the boiler to see if the status code clears after a standard cycle.
