Technical description: Sensor fault after self check
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler carries out an automated safety test and detects that its temperature sensors are providing conflicting or impossible readings. The most common reason is that a sensor has physically failed or is sending a weak electrical signal back to the main controller. It can also be caused by loose wiring connections or a fault within the electronic control board that interprets these signals.
