Your boiler has stopped working because the internal fan, which clears waste gases, is spinning at the wrong speed.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Incorrect fan speed
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board detects that the fan is not spinning at the specific speed required to safely clear exhaust gases. The most common reasons are a build-up of dust and debris slowing the motor down, or an electrical failure preventing the fan from receiving the correct signals. If the fan cannot reach the right speed, the boiler will shut down as a safety precaution to prevent fumes from building up.
