Your boiler's pump is staying on for a short period after the heating turns off to safely move leftover heat away from the unit.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Pump overrun of CH: After the end of CH operation the external pump continues to run.
What causes this fault?
This is a normal operational state rather than a mechanical failure where the boiler continues to circulate water after the burners have switched off. It occurs to safely dissipate residual heat from the internal heat exchanger, preventing the unit from overheating or making banging noises. Once the temperature inside the boiler has dropped to a safe level, the pump will stop automatically.
DIY fix possible
Wait for 10-15 minutes to see if the pump stops automatically.Check that your room thermostat is turned down or off.Observe if the code clears itself once the system has cooled down.
