What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal sensor fails to confirm that a flame has successfully ignited or is staying lit. The most common reasons are a worn-out detection probe that can no longer 'see' the flame, or a blockage in the burner that prevents gas from flowing correctly. It can also be caused by an unreliable gas supply or a faulty ignition lead failing to create the initial spark.
