Your boiler's internal computer is unable to communicate with the valve that controls the gas flow, usually due to a wiring or circuit board failure.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Valve driver circuit error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board loses the ability to send electrical signals to the gas valve. The most common reason is a component failure on the circuit board itself or a loose connection in the internal wiring harness. Without this communication, the boiler cannot safely manage the fuel supply and will shut down for safety.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
