Your boiler has detected an issue with the internal gas valve's electronic signal, meaning it cannot safely control the fuel flow and has shut down as a precaution.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Valve feed back error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board sends a signal to open the gas valve but does not receive the correct electrical confirmation back. It is usually caused by a physical failure within the valve's solenoid, damaged internal wiring, or a communication error on the circuit board. Because the boiler cannot verify if the gas is flowing correctly, it shuts down immediately for safety.
