C Low Information

Your boiler is working correctly and has simply reached the maximum temperature you set, so it is pausing temporarily until the water cools down enough to fire up again.

Monitor it

This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.

Technical description: The boiler has a call for central heating / hot water but the appliance has reached the desired temperature set on the boiler

What causes this fault?

This occurs when your radiators or water have reached the exact heat level you selected on the control dial. To prevent overheating and save energy, the boiler temporarily stops burning gas while the pump continues to circulate the existing heat around your home. Once the water temperature drops by a few degrees, the boiler will automatically fire back up to maintain your comfort.

This status is more frequently seen during spring and autumn when the weather is milder and the house doesn't require the boiler to run continuously to stay warm.

Typical repair cost £0 (including labour)

DIY fix possible
