Your boiler has stopped working because the internal fan, which safely exhausts gases, is not spinning at the correct speed or has lost power.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Fan or fan wiring error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control system detects that the fan is not spinning fast enough to safely remove exhaust fumes. The most common reasons are a mechanical failure within the fan motor itself, loose electrical connections, or a fault on the main circuit board that prevents power from reaching the fan.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
