What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the main control board suffers a hardware failure, meaning it can no longer send correct instructions to the internal components. The most common reason is age-related wear on the electrical circuits or a sudden power surge that has damaged the sensitive electronics. Because the 'brain' of the unit is compromised, the boiler shuts down as a safety precaution.
