Your boiler is working correctly but has reached its maximum temperature for the moment and is pausing until it needs to fire up again.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Boiler operating but up to temperature
What causes this fault?
This occurs when the boiler water has reached the maximum temperature set on the control dial or by the thermostat. The system pauses the burner temporarily because it has successfully heated the water to the required level and needs to wait for the temperature to drop before firing again. It is a sign that the boiler is managing its heat output efficiently rather than a mechanical failure.
This code is more frequent during spring and autumn when the heating is on but the outside temperature is mild, causing the house to reach temperature quickly.
DIY fix possible
No action is required as this is a normal status code.Ensure your room thermostat is turned up if the house is still cold.Check that your radiator valves are open to allow heat to circulate.
