Technical description: Igniter being energised
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control system attempts to create a spark to light the gas but the flame fails to ignite or stay lit. The most common reasons include a worn-out spark electrode that can no longer create a strong enough arc, or a fault within the gas valve preventing fuel from reaching the burner.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
