Technical description: Fault on Central Heating Sensor
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the sensor responsible for monitoring the temperature of the water in your radiators develops an electrical defect or fails completely. This is usually caused by the internal components of the sensor wearing out over time or experiencing corrosion due to a small leak at the connection point.
This fault often comes to light in autumn or winter when the heating is turned on for the first time after summer, as the sensor is finally put under constant thermal stress.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
