Your boiler has stopped heating because the internal sensor that monitors the temperature of the water in your radiators has developed a fault.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Fault on Central Heating Sensor
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer can no longer read the signal from the sensor that monitors the temperature of the water sent to your radiators. The most common reason is that the sensor has physically failed or 'drifted' over time, causing it to send an impossible reading, while loose or corroded electrical connections can also trigger the shutdown.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
