Technical description: Ignition failure. Check gas supply, flame sensing electrode, or PCB (Section F)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler fails to detect a flame after several attempts to light. The most common reasons are a lack of gas reaching the burner, a buildup of carbon on the electrodes prevents a spark, or the internal computer failing to recognise that the gas has successfully lit.
This issue is more frequent during the first cold snap of winter, as gas valves can occasionally stick or become sluggish after sitting idle during the summer months.
