Technical description: Fault on Fan or Flue
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal safety system detects that the fan isn't spinning fast enough or that exhaust fumes aren't being cleared safely through the flue. The most common reasons are a buildup of dirt on the fan blades, a blockage in the air pipes, or a failing motor that can no longer push the waste gases out of your home.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
