Your boiler is not receiving enough electrical power from your home's supply to operate safely.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Low Electrical Supply. Incoming Voltage less than 180V. Check System Controls & System Wiring. Otherwise contact Electricity Provider.
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the electrical voltage entering the boiler drops below a safe level, meaning there isn't enough power to run the internal components. The most common reasons are faulty external wiring, a failing Printed Circuit Board (PCB) that can no longer process power correctly, or a regional issue with the local power grid.
This fault can be more frequent during winter or extreme weather events when high demand on the National Grid or storm damage to power lines causes local voltage fluctuations.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
