Your boiler has temporarily stopped because the water for your taps has become slightly too hot, usually triggered when the system reaches its target temperature.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Normal control stop during DHW (flow temperature > set point DHW + DHW control stop set point + 5°C)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the water inside the boiler gets a few degrees hotter than the temperature you have requested for your taps. It is usually a safety precaution that causes the boiler to pause briefly once it has successfully finished heating your water. The most common reason is simply that the system has reached its target heat and needs to cycle off to prevent overheating.
This code may appear more frequently in summer when the incoming cold water mains temperature is higher, meaning the boiler reaches its target temperature much faster.
DIY fix possible
Check if any hot water taps have been left running slightlyEnsure the hot water temperature setting on the boiler control panel is not set to maximumMonitor the boiler to see if the code clears automatically once the water cools down
