Your boiler has temporarily paused because it has reached the required temperature and is waiting for the water in your radiators to cool down slightly before firing up again.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Boiler in burner stop mode (temperature reached)
What causes this fault?
This occurs when the water inside the boiler reaches its maximum target temperature before the rooms in your home have finished warming up. The system pauses the burner to prevent overheating while the pump continues to circulate the hot water through your radiators. Once the water temperature drops to a specific level, the boiler will automatically fire up again to continue heating your home.
This status is more frequently seen during the autumn and spring when the weather is milder and the heating system doesn't need to work at full capacity.
DIY fix possible
Check that your room thermostat is set to your desired temperatureEnsure at least one radiator valve is fully open to allow water to circulateWait for the boiler to restart automatically once the system temperature drops
