Your boiler has reached its maximum programmed temperature for your central heating, which is often just a notification rather than a breakdown.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Work CH flow temperature 1/1 = 80 °C according to parameter 1/1
What causes this fault?
This occurs when your boiler’s internal water temperature has hit the specific limit set in its settings, causing it to pause the burner to prevent overheating. It is usually a normal part of the boiler's operation as it manages heat delivery, though it can also happen if your radiators aren't dispersing heat quickly enough. If it persists, it may be due to a faulty sensor misreading the water temperature.
This is more common during the first few cold days of autumn when the heating is turned back on and the system is working hard to reach the set temperature.
DIY fix possible
Check if the room thermostat is set too highEnsure at least two radiators have their valves fully open to allow heat to circulateMonitor the boiler to see if the code clears once the system cools down
