P.2 Low Information

Your boiler is currently running a background test to check that it is burning gas correctly at its lowest possible setting.

Monitor it

This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.

Technical description: Test program where the appliance is operated with minimum gas volume (ignition gas volume) after successful ignition.

What causes this fault?

This is not actually a fault, but a routine self-test triggered by the boiler's internal computer to ensure it is running as efficiently as possible. It occurs when the system checks that the gas valve and fan are working correctly at the lowest power level after the flame has lit. You do not need to take any action, as the boiler is simply fine-tuning its performance.
