Your boiler is struggling to read its internal water pressure correctly because of a technical glitch in the sensor or its wiring.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Water pressure sensor signal out of range (too high) | Cable to water pressure sensor has a short-circuit at 5 V / 24 V or internal fault in water pressure sensor
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer receives an electrical signal from the pressure sensor that is outside of its normal operating limits. The most common reason is an electrical short-circuit within the sensor itself or damage to the delicate wiring connecting the sensor to the main control board.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
