S.58 Low Warning

Your boiler is temporarily reducing its power because outside wind or atmospheric conditions are affecting the burner flame.

Monitor it

This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.

Technical description: Modulation limitation due to noise / wind error

What causes this fault?

This code occurs when high winds or extreme weather conditions interfere with the way the flame burns inside the boiler. The system detects that the airflow is inconsistent or that the burner is becoming too noisy, so it automatically lowers its power output to stabilize itself. This is a protective measure to keep the boiler running safely despite the external environmental pressure.

This code is more common during the autumn and winter months when high winds and stormy weather are more likely to affect the flue terminal.

Typical repair cost £0-120 (including labour)

DIY fix possible

Check if the outside flue terminal is obstructed by garden debris or snowWait for high winds to subside to see if the status clears automaticallyReset the boiler if the status persists once weather conditions are calm
