Your boiler is currently taking a break because your home has reached the desired temperature or the heating is switched off at the controls.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: No heating required
What causes this fault?
This status occurs when the boiler's internal sensors detect that the central heating system does not currently need any more heat. It usually means your room thermostat has reached its target temperature or your external programmer is in an 'off' period. The boiler is simply sitting in standby mode waiting for the temperature to drop or for the timer to click back on.
This code is frequently seen during the spring and summer months when the weather is warmer and the heating is used less often.
DIY fix possible
Check your room thermostat is turned up higher than the current room temperatureEnsure your heating programmer or timer is set to an 'On' periodReplace the batteries in your wireless thermostat if the screen is blank
