Technical description: Boiler temperature sensor shorted out
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal temperature sensor, which monitors the warmth of the water, suffers an electrical failure or 'short circuit.' The most common reason is that the sensor has worn out internally over time, though it can also be caused by moisture getting into the electrical plug or a damaged wire.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
