Your boiler's fan is incorrectly spinning when it is supposed to be stopped, which is preventing the system from starting its safety checks.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Fan not at standstill
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control system detects that the fan is still spinning during a period when it should be completely still. The most common reason is a communication error between the fan motor and the main control board, or a fault within the fan's internal electronics that prevents it from stopping correctly. Because the boiler cannot confirm the fan is in a safe starting position, it will prevent the ignition process from beginning.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
