What causes this fault?
This occurs because the boiler's SARA (Automatic Temperature Control) function has been triggered. It happens when the boiler detects that the heating system is taking too long to reach the desired temperature, causing the boiler to automatically increase the flow temperature to heat your home more effectively.
This is more common in autumn and winter when the colder weather puts a higher demand on the heating system, triggering the boiler to boost its output.
DIY fix possible
No action is required as this is a normal operating function.Wait for the boiler to complete its adjustment cycle.If the flashing persists and prevents heating, turn the mode selector dial to 'Reset' for 5 seconds and then back to the original position.
