Your boiler has stopped working because the fan that removes waste gases isn't spinning fast enough to operate safely.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: fan error (low rpm)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer detects that the fan is not spinning at the required speed to safely clear combustion gases from the flue. The most common reasons are a buildup of dirt or debris on the fan blades, a failing motor, or a blockage in the air pipes preventing the fan from spinning freely.
This fault is slightly more common in autumn and winter, as spiders or insects seeking warmth can build nests in the flue terminal, obstructing the airflow.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
